Since ProtonVPN removed a certain trigger to check the VPN status, my iOS shortcuts app completely froze.

You couldn’t click anything, even offloading the app wouldn’t solve the problem.

If you own a Mac, this is the solution:

  1. Start the shortcuts app on the Mac

  2. Delete the faulty shortcut

  3. On your iOS device, go to General>Storage and select the shortcuts app

  4. Offload the app

  5. Reinstall the app

  6. The app isn’t frozen anymore
